8th grader, Henry Laubach, ended the season as the top runner for the 2023-24 Cross Country season. During this season, Laubach came in first place at every meet.
Laubach knows how to stay motivated. He said, “Winning and having everyone there supporting me is my motivation.”
The second-place runner, Duke Graf, knows Laubach is a worthy competitor. He said, “Henry is very hard-working, and he doesn’t like to give in, even when he is tired.”
Cross Country Head Coach, Kathryn Louderback, agreed with Duke. She said, “Henry Laubach has been one of our 8th grade leaders on the cross country team. He is a true example of how working hard in the off-season is beneficial to a successful running career.”
To end the season, Laubach placed first at the Kansas Milesplit Jr. High State Championship on Sunday, October 22nd.
