Door Decorating

Ms. Henley’s students decorate her door during advisory in the voyagers pod to help her win the door decorating contest. Bacon said they win a prize. “They win pizza for their advisory” (Bacon).

Students during class at WRMS decorate the spanish room door during the week to set an example to be kind and don’t be mean. Ms. Speagle says Christmas is a good time to decorate and people are usually in the christmas mood. “We always like to do at least one Door Decorating event during the school year. Sometimes it is a contest with prizes. Sometimes it is just an encouragement to teachers to decorate doors” (Speagle).

On December 6, Mrs. Armstrong sips her coffee and looks at her phone while, Reese Elliot and Jessie Heitman decorate her door for christmas. Mrs. Armstrong says several students throughout the day have been helping. “7th graders made a snowflakes that are on the house and hanging. 1st hour as they would finish their work they would make candies and frosting” (Armstrong).
