On Dec. 6th, at Seaman Middle school, Taber McBurney(7) grader grapples with his opponent to attempt to bring him to the ground. “The best part of wrestling is being able to hangout with your friends everyday and going to meets and winning.”McBurney said.
On Dec. 6th, at Seaman Middle School, 7th grader Doak Parker sprawls on his opponent to get the take down ”my favorite part about wrestling is hanging out with the wrestling team everyday.”Parker said
On Dec. 4th, at WRMS, 8th grader Andrew Peterson is shaking his opponents hand before the match,”I like wrestling because I like to wrestle with my friends and it’s a great interactive sport.”Peterson said
Coach Short gives a speech before the matches start on Nov. 18th, Short said“I started coaching wrestling to share my passion and knowledge for the sport with others. It allows me to impact people’s lives in a positive way. As a coach, there’s no better feeling than seeing your guys hand raised at the end of a match.”
On Dec. 4th, Kain Reilly kneels down to put on his ankle band to show his color for his match. Reilly plans on doing wrestling in 8th grade “I want to get better at wrestling.” “ The hardest part of wrestling is getting off your back if your opponent is putting weight on you to pin you down.”
