There are so many school lunches, but which one is the fan favorite of WRMS? A survey was recently sent out to WRMS students to determine which school lunches were the most popular.
5. Grilled cheese
Grilled cheese was voted the least favorite lunch (10.8%). The grilled cheese is a hot sandwich consisting of bread with cheese, typically cheddar or American cheese, cooked until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
4. Chicken sandwich
Our school’s chicken sandwich was voted the second to last least favorite lunch at WRMS. It got a total of 10.8% of votes. Our chicken sandwich is a sandwich that features chicken as its main filling, served on bread, buns, or other bread-like alternatives.
3. Chicken drummies
The beloved chicken drummies were voted third best lunch at WRMS (19.5%). Eighth grader Connor Obdyke selected chicken drummies as his favorite lunch. He said the reason he chose chicken drummies was, “because I didn’t like any of the other options.”
2. French toast
French toast was the runner up for WRMS’ favorite school lunch (22.7%). One of the students that picked french toast was Teagan Cook. She says the reason she picked french toast was because it floods her with good memories, “I just feel like it’s nostalgic”. She also gets very thrilled when she hears the lunch is french toast, “I usually get excited, but sad when they run out”.
1. Crispito
It was a close race, but the lunch that was voted the best was crispito (36.2%). Eighth grader Gabby Hicks chose crispito as her favorite school lunch. When asked why she picked crispito she said, “Well it’s the only one I really liked,” referring to all of the lunches on our survey. We also asked how she feels when she hears the lunch for the day is crispito. She said she feels “very happy.”
Although all our school lunches are delicious, some seem to be more fan favorites than others. Out of all of our lunches, these five ranked the best.
