ard about the Minecraft movie. Many of the students have watched the Minecraft Movie, and there seems to be a huge debate about whether seeing it is worth it. Students at WRMS are eager to share their opinions on the new movie.
A Minecraft Movie was released on April 4, 2025. It is one of the most successful Hollywood movies this year, grossing over $816 million, with $58 million on opening day, and now it is the number one Hollywood movie. But the movie has been controversial, while some people love the movie and some people hate it.
One of the reasons people didn’t like the Minecraft movie is because of the plot, weak storyline, and the unfunny jokes in the movie. While Eighth grader Lochlann Hayes enjoyed the movie, he said, “It was a really good movie in general.” However, Eighth Grader Jake Hermann doesn’t think the movie was good “The actual movie no because the actual movie sucked but the experience was fun.” Eighth grader Porter Johnson also thought the movie was good, saying, “Yes, the movie was good, but the atmosphere was the best part
Now the big question is, is The Minecraft Movie worth watching? Hermann thinks the movie was not worth watching, saying, “Yeah, it depends because I was with a bunch of people, and if I were all alone, I wouldn’t go watch it.” Hayes doesn’t agree with Hermann, saying, “It was a really good movie and it was an enjoyable movie.”
I thought the movie was okay, but it was not worth the hype. I do think the movie plot was a little bit bad and predictable. The movie also had some weird characters, who didnt bring anything to the plot. Many people didn’t like The Minecraft Movie as it earned a 47% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 5.9 on IMDb.
