On April 8, at the Washburn Rural High School tennis courts, Coach Garland intensely watches a match to support his team. Coach Garland said he relishes watching this season’s team compete. “I really enjoy watching them compete which is why we do a lot of competition drills at practice.” He said.

Eighth grader Akul Chamesh is serving to his opponent at the Washburn Rural High School courts on April 8. Akul wanted to do tennis because of how long he’s been playing and he enjoys it. “I wanted to do tennis because I have been doing it for a while, and though it would be fun.”He said.
