On Wednesday, October 11th, Mrs. Lambotte was awarded a $1,500 grant for Colorguard. When asked about her grant, Lambotte said, "Currently the program is borrowing flags from the high school and using poles, poles ends, and tape from Menards. These are not the correct materials that they should be using but it is what has been used in the past and has been passed down from year to year. "

On September 5th, at Washburn Rural Middle School, Gentry Coons (8) jumps out of the way, to let the ball go out of bounds, and allows her team to score a point.  The Falcons ended up winning the match 2-1. Coons says her favorite part of volleyball is, “Getting to have a relationship with your team and learning about what happens in their life, because of a sport”.
