On Wednesday, October 11th, Mrs. Lambotte was awarded a $1,500 grant for Colorguard. When asked about her grant, Lambotte said, Currently the program is borrowing flags from the high school and using poles, poles ends, and tape from Menards. These are not the correct materials that they should be using but it is what has been used in the past and has been passed down from year to year.

After grilling in the hallway, Tech Teacher Mr. Willis confessed that BBQ Dads vs. Soccer Moms was his favorite Spirit Week day “It was fun to see the number of kids that dressed as both Soccer Moms and BBQ dads. I also was able to dress up very easily since I love Grilling!” His favorite costume was Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Chooncharoen, and Mrs. English as Post Malone, Traffic Cone, and Fred Flintstone on Rhyme Without Reason Day.

On Tuesday, May 2nd, Comet ELA teacher Mr. Brown introduces a new project to his 3rd hour students at WRMS. The project was about facing adversity and students got to pick who they wanted to study about. Santino Sivakumar picked Joe Burrow. He said, “I chose Joe Burrow because he’s my favorite football quarterback and I thought he had a good story.”
